How Zawiya works
Two paths through the product: delivering a gallery to a client, and running a studio with a team. Every step below reflects what the product actually does today.
Delivering a gallery
The path from a finished shoot to a client who has their files.
Create the gallery
From Dashboard → Galleries → New. Give it a name, an optional client name and email, an event date and a description. The name becomes the gallery's URL slug.
Upload your photos
Upload into the gallery from its page in the dashboard. Originals are stored as uploaded; previews and thumbnails are generated for viewing.
Choose who can open it
Four access types: public (listed on your profile and indexable), private, password-protected, and invite-only, where only people you email a link to can get in.
Decide what they can take
Download quality is set per gallery — from preview only, through social and high, up to the original file. You can also allow or block ZIP downloads, favourites, comments and sharing.
Share the link
Send the gallery URL. On Studio and above it can be served from your own domain or a branded subdomain, with your logo and colours.
Collect their choices
Clients favourite the frames they want and can leave comments and requests. Those come back to you in the dashboard.
Running a studio
Team seats, roles and what each member is allowed to do.
Seats and invites
Team collaboration is an Agency feature. Invite registered photographers by name or @slug; an invite stays pending until they accept, and you can revoke it before they do.
Roles
Five roles: owner, admin, photographer, editor and client manager. A member is pending, active or revoked.
Permissions
Each role starts from a default set, and every permission can be adjusted per member when you invite them or afterwards:
- העלאת גלריות
- מחיקת גלריות
- הורדת קבצי מקור
- הזמנת חברי צוות
- ניהול תגובות
- עריכת גלריות
- צפייה באנליטיקה
- צפייה ביומן פעילות
- העברת גלריות לצוות
- העברת גלריות לחשבון האישי
Analytics and the activity log
Gallery views and engagement appear under Analytics. Every team action — members added, roles changed, invites revoked, permissions updated — is recorded in the activity log.
